This workshop introduces the power of Design Thinking, a human-centered approach to problem-solving that emphasizes creativity, empathy, and iterative prototyping. It begins with engaging icebreakers like "Design Your Superpower" and "Innovation Around Me" to help participants recognize everyday innovations and imagine solutions to real-world challenges. These activities set the stage for understanding how design impacts daily life and how creative thinking can address unmet needs.
The workshop follows the GIMI Impact framework, which structures innovation into three phases: Inspire, Create, and Show. First, participants explore why innovation matters and examine local and global challenges. Next, they learn to develop solutions by prioritizing empathy, deeply understanding the people affected by a problem before brainstorming ideas. Finally, they refine and present their concepts, fostering collaboration and real-world application.
